My name is Ashley, I'm here to get an x-ray

This is a line that I've become familiar with while working in Radiology for nearly 20 years. During my time as a technologist, I've worked as a PACS administrator and became registered in CT. No cats were harmed int he making of this CT tech.  But seriously, I've become passionate about the ever-evolving field of medical imaging and the role it plays in patient care.

Radiology is a crucial component of modern medicine. It involves using advanced technology to produce images of the inside of the body, helping doctors to diagnose and treat various conditions. As a radiology technologist for almost two decades, I have seen firsthand how this field has evolved and revolutionized patient care.

With the rapid advancements in technology, the traditional x-ray has been replaced with digital radiography. This allows for images to be captured and viewed on a computer screen, eliminating the need for film processing. Not only does this save time for the techs but it also results in faster reads from the radiologist. And that my friends, is what determines how well your Radiology department is liked.

Why start a blog/website. You might just say that I was born with an entrepreneuer streak in me. I've always been curious about business and truth be told, I was going to go into accounting before becoming interested in Radiology (or maybe it was after I realized that I sucked at accounting).

Any who, I'm here now. One of my missions is to create a landing space for allied health professionals to find items personalized to their titles. I also want to shed light on the vast variety of healthcare careers there are. Like others, I used to think that there were only doctors in nurses that worked in hospitals. I want to shed light on all of the different roles that healthcare has to offer.
